We have a Philanthropy that we are doing an "Adopt an Adult" program for the holiday season. We have inputted each adult (there are 14 of them) as an "event sign-up", so members can sign up for specific items on their wish list. Issue is, at a chapter meeting yesterday, there was a hard copy sign up for this as well, and there was a good response....so, I have been inputting these sign ups today, "after the fact" if you will, mainly to get it all online, in one place and for the members to get notification of their sign-up and the auto-generated reminder as well. There will still be more sign-ups that will be done online. OK, the real issue......in the "comments" field of the Sign-Up is where I placed (and where any member going forward will input/place) what the member actually signed up to provide/bring. BUT, I have discovered that this "comment" field does not carry forward onto at least the auto-generated notification of sign-up (only the description carries forward). So, this is a bit problematic, as those members are not reminded in their e-mail of what they actually signed up to provide/bring.
Is this making any sense??!! If you want to go on our site and check it out......it is on Nov. 11th. Like I told the VP of Philanthropy that is heading this up that I have been working with (this also relates to the PHOTO thing....an ill-conceived idea to put all the info on the caption that was!).....all the member has to do is go to the sign-up page of the event and they will see what they signed up for to provide/bring, as the "comments" field is listed next to the member who signed up name.
Frankly, I am a bit surprised though that the "comments" does not carry forward into the auto-generated e-mail. Does it on the reminder, which of course I set up for the members to receive.
I know this is nit-picky, almost hate to bother you all with.....but, any suggestions?? Is there any way the "comments" could be included in all the generated e-mails to members who sign-up????

Hi Sally,
Good point. This was actually just brought up to us by another chapter last week. I believe our programmer was going to take a look into implementing a fix in the next roll out for all chapters to be able to see the comments in their notifications. Let me create a ticket for this and place you as the main contact. That way I can check with him and see where we are on this and also keep you in the loop as well.
