ChapterWeb users have access to two types of file structure: Folder and Category. Follow the links below for specific instructions using…

Category File Structure

  • Login to your ChapterWeb Account
  • Once you are logged in, click on the Files tab to open the Files section.
  • Browse to the File that you’d like to set permissions for by expanding your file categories (see item 1 below).

  • Once you are at the file click the “Edit” link located to the right of the file (see item 2 below).

  • After clicking the “Edit” link options for what you can do to the file will appear below.
  • Uncheck the “Viewable by: Everyone” check box (see item 3 below).
  • Once this box has been deselected more options will appear. Select who you would like to be able to view the file by checking the boxes next to the name of the group (see item 4 below).

  • Save your changes.

Folder File Structure

  • Login to your ChapterWeb Account
  • Once you are logged in, click on the Files tab to open the Files section.
  • Click on the pencil icon for the file you want to change permissions for (see item 1).

  • Make your edits to the “Viewable By” section.
  • If “Everyone” is checked, everyone will be able to see and download the file (see item 2).
  • Select a filters from the “Selections” drop-down list (see item 3).
  • Click on the items from the filter you want to filter by (click the items in the list that appears below item 3). I have selected “Active” and “Provisional” (see item 4).

  • Click “Save”
